World Legal Knife

Balancing form with function, the World Legal was born from one idea: make a great knife that can be carried anywhere in the world.*

Simple but efficient, the Lansky World Legal combines modern aesthetics with traditional slip-joint technology. (A slip-joint knife has a blade that doesn't lock, but is instead held by a spring, which allows the blade to fold when a certain level of pressure is applied).

Saw the video of this knife at the SHOT show and just loved the concept behind this knife. The knife came in this past week and decided to use it awhile before posting a review. The knife is very good quality. I used it pretty hard in the garden and it was a no nonsense utility blade, worked really great on some tough palm branches and other yard junk. Using the knife with heavy gloves on was great and the lack of a proper lock was not even noticed. I think this knife has a great future here in the states and abroad. Its a simple concept and a great practical knife that you can take with you just about anywhere, except a plane or government building, whatever. I am a knife guy and love my high end tactical folders but this is really great value knife. I hope to see this knife and others like it in the future. I might get another one just for the truck, and at $21 its good to have extras!

Changing the pocket clip on the World Legal:

  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver on your Lansky 20-Function Multi-Tool to remove the clip from its original position.
  2. Select desired clip location.
  3. Place a small amount of thread-locking adhesive in the new location.
  4. Position the clip in the new location and adjust the screw until a secure, snug fit is reached.
  5. Set aside. Thread-locking adhesive should set in about 10 minutes and will be fully cured in 24 hours.
