Via Amazon: You don't appreciate a pedistal until you use it. It takes all of the cramps out of knife sharpening. There are other Lanksy pedistals and they all have their use. All three have a purpose and I own them all.

I have one of these. I have it mounted to a board that I clamp to the work bench. Works great, keeps your hadns from getting tired, and it's only $5.
